My name is Kevin Rossen. I’m married to the most beautiful woman in the world Brea. We don’t have any kids, but we do have three cocker spaniels. We live in Carrollton, TX.

A lot of people know me as Sug (pronounced like sugar). I got the nickname from my youth minister in high school. Here’s the story. We were building a house in Juarez, Mexico with Amor ministries. Everyday I would take about 5-6 blow pops with me to the work-site and I would have one in my mouth almost all the time. One of the nights while we were sitting around the campfire I went over to the candy stash and grabbed some Skittles for myself and few extra packs just in case anyone wanted one. I got back to the fire and no one wanted any. Being the resourceful young man I was, I didn’t want the Skittle to go to waste and I was too lazy to put them back, so I ate about 3-4 bags of Skittles in about an hour. What put my nickname over the top was when we made our last stop about two hours from getting home. I had about ten bucks left over, so I decided to buy some more candy. I ate about half of it before we got home. That’s the story of how I got my nickname.

I’m currently serving as the Discipleship Minister at Valley View Christian Church. I’ve been on staff at the church for four and a half years.
