Proof That God Has a Sense of Humor

In my Bible reading today, I read a verse that I believe proves that God indeed does have a sense of humor. Check out the pic of Exodus 34:1 below.

The part that makes me think God is ribbing Moses here are the words “which you broke.” God seems to be saying, “Ok, Moses. You had your little temper tantrum the other day, remember? I gave you two stone tablets with the Ten Commandments on them. You know, the rules that will be the foundation on which all of future civilizations’ laws will be based and you decided to chunk them down on the ground because you were mad. Way to go big guy.” (Don’t quote me on the above quote of God, please. I’m pretty sure those words are not inspired by the Holy Spirit).

What do you think? Does God have a sense of humor or not? What other verses prove it one way or another?

    • You're probably right. Every guys trip I've ever been on has involved a lot of cracking up. Especially when fire is involved. 12 disciples + Jesus + 3 years = Must've been some times of cutting up. Good points, Logan.

    • Yep. The funnies thing to me about that one is that Balaam tried have a conversation with his a.., um, donkey.

  1. We know God created everthing on Heaven and Earth. He created Man. Man has a sense of humor therefore God must have given Man that emotion. I think God has a sense of humor.

    • I appreciate anyone taking the time to comment on my blog, but I’ll censor out foul language. It’s just the way I roll.

To whomever made this comment (since you’d like to remain anonymous), could you elaborate on what you’re trying to state? I’m not really certain what your point is.

  2. Oh God has definetely a great sense of humour. The other day I fell going into the supermarket cos it had rained, the ground was wet and I was wearing flip flops… I slipped horribly onto the floor and hurt my knee(it was purple for a coupla days). I was praying the next day and asked God to talk to me.. Then my eyes went directly to passage of Hebrews 12:12 where it says:Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees…I know that for someone this might make no sense but I laughed so much cos God knew I had hurt my knees and thats y they were weak…oh man… I love Him so much…he makes me laugh all the time…
